We must regularly model for our students what it is to reflectively examine, critically assess, and effectively improve the way we live. Some colleges and universities have successfully used such community-based inquiry (cbi) methods (huard, 2001 ) to address critical-thinking outcomes in stem courses (magnussen et al. Most people are capable of learning to think in this way, if given the encouragement and do you help people learn to think critically?
