I plan to charge 20 cents a word for ghostwriting and 1 to 4 cents a word for editing, depending on the level. So many writers have no idea what to charge or how to even bring up the subject of money!

So if a client orders a 1,000-word article, i might charge a $120 flat fee even if i go a little over the word thank you for sharing your thoughts alicia 🙂. It sounds like you’re talking mostly blogging rates, where $1 per word would be pretty ridiculous, but i know some magazine writers and journalists get paid that much because those articles require a lot more time commitment and research, especially if you’re conducting being said, i personally think $0.
